Focus of the Project Review Committee
The Project
Review committee studies Land Use, Zoning, and building projects
that have been forwarded to the CACPB/CACC for local review and
comment.
The all volunteer Project Review committee meets on a monthly
basis to review projects under development within the College
Area. The committee reviews each topic or project in depth
before taking a formal vote of recommendation to the full CACPB/CACC
board.
Developers, applicants, and interested parties usually attend several
Project Review committee meetings and give multiple informational
presentations to familiarize the committee with the project
prior to requesting a vote.
The type of projects that come before the committee
are:
- Land Use Issues
- Zoning Changes
- Discretionary Permit Applications
- Conditional Use Permits
- Amendments to the Community Plan
- Parking District B
The committee does not take a vote on the project until it
has received all pertinent documents including plans, and City
staff Cycle Issues Reports. Although the City staff
forwards the main pertinent documents to the Project committee
for review, Developers or applicants often provide documents
additional directly to Project Committee such as traffic
reports, pictures, site maps, and project summaries.
Community members are welcome to the committee
meetings and an opportunity for public comment is provided.

Project Review Committee Meetings are usually held the 1st
Wednesday of each month
(or approximately two weeks before the CACPB/CACC Executive
Board Meeting).
